To celebrate National Writing Day, Simon Wrigley, Outreach Director of the National Writing Project, will be leading a riverside writing walk. All welcome. Please bring your notebooks, pens and friends.
Meet at the bandstand in Mill Meadows, Bedford – across the river from the embankment. This short walk will take in the Bedford lock, the boat-slide bridge and Archimedes screw, Longholme Lake, the Butterfly Bridge, the Time Gardens in Russell Park, and the suspension bridge. The walk will be punctuated with short writing prompts and finish with a time for writing and sharing at or near the bandstand, depending on the weather.
Plentiful parking off Longholme Way, on streets around Russell Park and along the embankment.
